FORMER manager, Andrew Preece, pounced on the situation at Northwich to sign six players from last season’s high-flying squad in a month which saw ten tricky men depart from the crisis hit club.
Preece, 45, secured the signatures of Tom Field, Michael Roddy, Kyle Armstrong, Jordan Johnson, Ryan Wade and Chris Budrys, who all left the club after they were demoted from the Evo-Stik Premier Division for breaking league rules.
The other four moves saw Sean Kinsella return to Stafford, Ben Hinchliffe leave for AFC Fylde, Dominic Collins complete a switch to newly promoted Blue Square Bet North outfit Chester and Tom Smyth link up with Paul Ennis at Colwyn Bay.
Andy Mutch, 49, was left with the task of rebuilding the squad for a lower level of football, which will see Vics play in the Evo-Stik Division One South at Stafford Rangers next season.
The former Vauxhall Motors and Burscough manager has made four new additions.
Experienced wide man, Lee Dodgson, 28, has been captured from Lancaster, while centre-half, Sam Christensen, 19, arrives from Clitheroe, goalkeeper, Zach Hibbert, 23, seeks pastures new from the same side and recently experienced central defender, John Hardiker, 29, arrives from Radcliffe Borough.
The signings come after owner, Jim Rushe, revealed the budget would be the same for this year's team.
