Andy Mutch has today revealed a major setback. New signing, Zach Hibbert has spoken to him and advised him that he has broken his hand in a works accident. Zach expects to be in plaster for eight weeks which makes him a major doubt for the start of the season.
A disappointed Andy remains upbeat that he can attract another quality keeper to cover the loss and add healthy competition for the No 1 position on Zach’s return.

I believe Ben Connett's looking for a club!

Andy Mutch continued his squad building by signing ex AFC Telford reserve keeper Ryan Robinson. 6 ‘ 2” Cumbrian born Ryan aged 29, started his career with Blackburn Rovers before being released in 2001. He then joined Southend United for whom he made his Football League debut. He was released by Southend after one year and moved closer home when he signed for Conference club Morecambe. He quickly made the goalkeeper jersey his own at Morecambe with a series of excellent displays, only losing his place through injury. When released by Morecambe at the end of the 2005-6 season, he was quickly snapped up by former Morecambe manager Jim Harvey at Forest Green Rovers. After two seasons with Forest Green, Ryan moved into semi- professional football with Bath City in 2009 and helped them get promotion to the Conference National. Following a season in the top level of non- league football, Ryan was released and signed for Evo Stik Southern Premier Division team Evesham United and also signed for AFC Telford as a back-up keeper.
Andy has had Ryan on his radar for a few weeks now and was determined to sign him to add the necessary competition for the No 1 spot.

Mutch snaps up Prolific Goalscorer.

Andy Mutch has snapped up Kidsgrove Athletics all-time best goalscorer and 2011-12 Golden Boot winner Dave Walker. Dave who has scored 102 goals in 140 appearances for Kidsgrove was previously a prolific finisher with Nantwich Town where he formed the deadly partnership with Mike Lennon.
Dave started his career with hometown club Stoke City before moving onto Crewe Alexandra. He then played for Stone Dynamoes before moving to Stafford Rangers, Dave then had a spell in New Zealand with Canterbury United before moving back home with Nantwich Town and more latterly at Kidsgrove Athletic.
