Moving Forwards 11 months 3 weeks ago #98620

Hi All,

First of all let me make it clear I have no affiliation with either the trust or the club.

I have followed the club as my local side all my life (second only to the terriers). I have been to meetings held from both sides in order to give me a balanced view point (if there is such a thing!).

I have drawn one belief from this and that is at this moment in time the 2 cannot work together unforunately.

I dont see a change in ownership or a change in direction from the trust.

I honestly think the fans who want to support the club as it is now should crack on with this in order to raise funds and awareness etc.

The trust I feel should move forwards and set their club up for the supporters who want nothing more to do with a JR vics etc.

If this did happen we would have a solution of sorts for all fans. One which they could get behind and focus on football rather than sniping at each other.

I know in a perfect world everyone would pull together but that is simply not going to happen.

We all need to move forwards and focus on bringing something positive to the table in short put up or shut up from both sides.

Would it not be easier if Jim and Stevie Boy stopped telling lies and giving false hope? Let's be honest if Jim told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth there would not be many following him and we would not have a split fan base.

I for one don't want to start a new club and compete with NVFC. I have supported NVFC for 35 years and want to continue supporting NVFC - I just don't want to support a liar and dictator anymore!

Gerrard you might be right i dont know.

I am just looking at this from both sides, JR is not going to go so you have to work within the situation you have.

If there is not going to be a new club then perhaps the trust needs to look at supporting the current club in a way that its members are happy with.

That could be sponsoring certain players wages, subsidising travel for fans etc.

Surely everyone would like to just focus on football matters either with the current club or with a new one.

I would just like to be able to type the words 'Crisis Club' into google one day and not be redirected to the Vics website.

Not sure that will ever happen though :(

I think the Trust has supported the club very well during Jim's reign especially over the last year when it was more and more obvious (although not to all) that things were not all they seemed yet the Trust still helped out financially including the purchase of VIP boxes, sponsorship and the purchase of shirts for Northwich Juniors.

And for the record the Trust stepped in and subsidised travel when Jim got us kicked out of the VS. I did not see Jim offering any money to get fans to home game that were 30 miles away.

I think most people on this forum and the NVST will continue to support NVFC but I think the vast majority will rightly not support it in the way of financial aid and who can blame them?

Hi Gerrard,

Please dont think I am saying the trust have not done anything in the past or at the moment.

I just think the club will carry on in existance for the forseable future and I think fans would like to be involved.

If not in a way supporting the club then supporting the supporters for travel for example.

If things like this do not happen we will have 2 supporters clubs competiting against each other for members and fund raising without actually doing anything in a football sense.

The amount of time the trust spends working voluntarily is staggering and a massive credit to themselves and the trust.

I just want people to get back to football matters find common ground and move forwards. We all work with people we dont like etc but we are still professional about it.
