‎4 days and 80 miles complete :-) tough tough day, very hot weather, endless dangerous and challenging roads that seemed constantly up hill and my body realising that it doesn't normally walk 80 miles!

However, brilliant to visit the hospice today in Oswestry and see first hand the truly amazing life enhancing work and care the hospice does for families of terminally ill children. Hopefully my photos help to show that.

The donations keep coming in, massive thank you but Please please please if you have liked what we are doing or more importantly would like to support this inspiring hospice please donate what you can no matter how small... Even £1 will make the world of difference. Please text WALK48£1 to 70070 or donate at www.justgiving.com/Paul-Ashley-walk

Thank you!!

Oh if it helps am writing this whilst having my daily ice bath!!!

It's been brilliant to follow Paul on Facebook and I received a text from him yesterday, telling me that he is hanging in there!!

It is the most marvellous effort, to walk over 200 miles day after day for such a worthy cause is fantastic.

Well done Northwicher, we are proud of you!!

PS please follow Tony's link and donate what you can - thank you!!

From Paul's Facebook page

‎7 days 140 miles and only 60 to go. Extremely tough day but had loads of support, thank you :-)

This is proving to be a monster of a challenge in every respect. I am aiming to raise £3000 for this fantastic charity. I have had so many generous donations, thank you :-) but to reach my goal I need more. If you haven't already donated then please please consider doing so and knowing that you are helping to inspire me to finish this challenge but also you are supporting families who are dealing with and preparing to lose one of their terminally I'll children.

Please just give what you can by texting WALK48£(your amount) or by donating at www.justgiving.com/Paul-Ashley-walk

Spread the word :-)

Recovery day today, but still having to exercise. 34 degrees down there and given the same tomorrow, so Paul is setting off at 5am in the morning, in the hope that he can walk his 20 miles by lunch time. It's getting really tough now for him, a big mental challenge but he is trying to switch the pain off! He just has to think about the Hospice and that keeps him going.

Keep going Northwicher!!! :Scarf:

For those not able to follow Paul on Facebook, here is his latest post as of 3 hours ago near Monmouth

‎10 days, 8 walking days and 160 miles now completed. These last two days and 40 miles are clearly going to be a battle of wills between my absolute will to finish and the will of my body to stop now. My legs have gone and every step is forced. My 'problem' knee has finally give up the ghost with no strength meaning my ankle is just knackered.

1 more day of pain tomorrow and then hopefully the adrenalin of the final day will get me to Barry?

Keep going Northwicher, you have done absolutely brilliant :Scarf:

Day 9 180 miles completed. 1 day and 20 miles to go :-) just south of Newport. Tomorrow it's Cardiff then onto Barry Island.

A massive achievement Paul, the home straight beckons tomorrow!
