Was a class act at Wolves with Bully, also seen him score for Swindon against Utd in the prem in the mid-90's when he partnered Jan Aage Fjortoft.
Decent at County too, iirc was Manager at Vauxhall when they knocked us out the FA trophy when Paul Taylor played ran us ragged, but later suspended for drug abuse. Now at Peterborough Utd though

Not a very inspiring management record according to wikipedia:
As his playing career had ended, Mutch went into coaching, with spells as assistant manager of both Telford United (while still playing) and Morecambe (2001–2004). He joined Vauxhall Motors in July 2007 as assistant manager, but soon stepped up to become manager in October 2007 after the resignation of Carl Macauley. He left the club after their 6-0 defeat at home to Kettering Town in March 2008, as Macauley returned to the club. In October 2008, he was appointed manager of Burscough of the Conference North. By early 2009 he had left the club and has not yet been in management since.

Managed Vaux M when they beat us in the trophy under Maamria, Alan Wright has garnered a lot of experience already though

Got to admit, I don't see it as an inspiring appointment, however, if it had been, then people would (rightly) be asking how Jim could afford such...

At least this way I can only be pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed that expectations weren't met.

That said, unless there are some major shifts in thinking, by many different parties over the next fortnight or so, then likely it's all pretty irrelevant anyway.
