There is absolutely no way we have been 'living within our means' over the last season even if you take the CVA out of it.

Not surprising when something like 300 vics fans decide not to go to watch the vics, hence starve the club of financial through put.

I not just on about since the turn of the year, a lot of vics fans have not been for years. Just so that the owner can fail, even now the fight isn't being taken directly to the owner.

even now the fight isn't being taken directly to the owner.

The owner has now, of course, placed a buffer between himself and the fans in the shape of McNally (or whatever his name is)so is even more distant.
An alternative view is that McNally (or whatever his name is) has been brought in by someone else to sort Jim out and that is why he is even more distant. He's being sidelined.
But you won't win this battle by talking about a football club - for Rushe or whoever it's about bigger things and the football club is a short term convenient vehicle. It can be dumped when the bigger goal is achieved and losses incurred there will be small fry compared to the gains that follow.
It's good business if you're on the right side of it.

Not really sure what angle you're coming from here, but I would say it is more than 300 who have made that decision. I'm guessing even more have now jumped from the sinking ship if the club actually makes it to the start of the next season and 'crowds' at Stafford would be around the 75-100 mark. There are two main reasons why fans have deserted:

1) Sick and tired of the club lurching from one mismanaged crisis to another by an owner who (at best) is out of his depth and incompetetent (I'm not going there with the 'at worst'), thus heaping constant embarrassment on fans not to mention them having to witness the sad slide of our once beloved club.

2)Not wanting to give hard earned money to something where you do not trust where it is going, what it is being used for and how competently it will be used. It certainly hasn't been used to pay off local businesses.

More than 300 fans have decided not to watch Vics. When you look at how dramatically our support has dropped over the years, you simply can't blame masses of fans for not going. For me, that makes it clear that there has been growing discontent towards the way the club has been ran.

It's not a coincidence that our fan base has dropped since we have started getting in these financial messes and dropping down the leagues. You can't blame the fans for that. At the end of the day, all Jim Rushe had to do was budget for the crowds we were getting, the CVA agreed and abide by league rules. It's not rocket science, he has got us in this mess, no one else.

I stand by what I wrote in the email, simply because I share the view that off-field mismanagement has been the decisive factor in turning erstwhile fans away from the club and I do not believe the club has been living within its means. I include those "ex-fans" in my calculations, not just those who went to Gigg Lane or post on here. Further, Quorn would have been reprieved from relegation if the NVFC Evostik penalty had stuck, so they will suffer by being relegated. That they would have suffered relegation anyway because their team weren't good enough does not reduce their suffering! What compounds their suffering is to see that a club which has clearly flouted the league's rules has been allowed to 'get away with it' while they have operated within the rules. It's a scenario which is sadly replicated across English football.

Anyway, here's the response ...
We are pleased that genuine supporters of your club have been so kind as to understand our plight, obviously we have no axe to grind against a once fine club like Northwich Victoria and we wish you every success in your fight to stabalise your club. It would be unfair for us to comment on your present chaiman but the depth of feeling towards him, is there for all to see and we hope that for the long term future of your club, you can reach a satisfactory conclusion
