Some of you will be aware of the letter from the Chairman of Quorn FC bemoaning the knock-on effect on his club of the FA decision to commute the punishment given to NVFC - it may mean that Quorn will be relegated from Evo 1S to make room for NVFC. He points out that this means that a well-run financially sound club may have to suffer while a poorly-run club takes its place.
I have sent him the following email, and if you feel similarly, I would suggest you could drop him a line too. I couldn't find the Chairman's email (Stuart Turner), but the club email is

As I keep saying, we need to get our message out there, otherwise the fans will end up tarred with the same (b)rush(e)
Message as follows:
I read your comments in the NLP today with some sympathy. And that as a supporter of said Northwich Vics for nearly 50 years. If truth be told, you would probably find a sympathetic hearing from a large proportion of the fans of our club, since we have been campaigning long and hard against the mismanagement of our current owner which has seen us drop 4 divisions in 5 years for various off-field irregularities. We are as a direct result of his actions pilloried in non-league circles (quite rightly) for being a shambles. He has refused to involve the Supporters' Trust since his arrival at the club, and this organisation is now actively planning for the moment that his incarnation of the club ceases to exist, as it surely will. We are homeless, assetless and shunned by the local business community, many of whom this owner owes money to. He has not only failed to service the CVA (which arose from the previous owner's blatant incompetence) but has also racked up numerous fresh debts, oblivious to the effects that it has on the reputation of our 138 year old club in the local community. But he is the sole owner and, as he is not slow to point out, he has total control over how he runs his business. A sign of the disdain in which he holds the supporters of his own club was at the last game of the season at FC United: a protest was organised to hold up red cards in minutes 18 and 74 (when we were founded) as a measure of our displeasure with the financial mismanagement. This protest was supported by the FC United fans as well. His response to the sea of red cards in a crowd in excess of 2000? He waved his own red card in the direction of the Northwich fans.
I sincerely hope that your club will not be 'collateral damage' in all of this and that you will not suffer because of the FA's refusal to uphold the NPL rules. The possible light on the horizon is that many of us fans do not see the current incarnation of the club surviving for much longer, leaving us free to start up a new fan-led club, albeit in a lower league.
I wish you well for next season.
