Re: Increasing Trust membership and fund raising ideas 1 year 2 weeks ago #97661

lets try and hit 200 before the next meeting,The more we have the better our chances of salvaging something. To all those who have not signed up yet please do and potentially help us try and get our club back.

Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to put an an ad in the Northwich guardian explaining the position, asking for support and with a copy of the membership form

I would be happy to support the cost of the ad - anyone else?

Maggie - is it possible to have as an agenda item for the next meeting?

How about we concentrate our attention on a couple of more productive issues - how we increase Trust membership and fund raising ideas.

Trust membership - advert in the Northwich Guardian with explanatory background and application form, leaflet drop

Fund raising - nominate a fund raising lead/sub committee for the Trust. I don't know either Tony or Colin but suggest they both could be involved if they were willing

perhaps the ideas could be an agenda item for the next meeting

What do you think

Can the Trust clarify, as it did when I asked about the ' Fighting Fund' which has become a donation fund according to Maggie, what people are raising funds for and were the membership money goes to.

Much has been said about the Northwich Victoria Supporters Club (OSC) and it's organization so let's hear the story of were the funds given to this Trust are going.

I would like to know and I believe the wider community should know before donating to the Trust. I know there is no money going to the Club and therefore is it all going to setting up a new club and all it's costs or any other cost.

I ask as the Trust is not indicating what it's actual plans are yet they are taking money off members and the general public.

They are also holding meetings which they are not telling you about and then holding Trust meetings that they are not telling you about and I am asking about that on a new thread.

This request is again not meant to stop people joining the Trust but more, as I did before with the 'Fighting Fund' thread, to clarify the situation for people donating to the Trust.

Everyone knows what Norhwich Victoria Supporters Club is doing and working towards but the Trust board didn't even vote in your recent vote/ straw pole about setting up a new club yet had a meeting that you should all know about this week clarifying certain issues which you haven't been told about.

Members, if no one else, deserve to know what is going on but everyone else needs to know where their money is going and what it is being spent on or what it will be spent on.

I look forward to the reply.

The trust has in the past, Stevie boy, paid off football debts (to other football clubs) which Jim would/could not pay. This enabled the club to enter the FA cup which led to the fantastic run including the two televised games. The trust has also laid on transport for fans to away/home/away games. In short, Stevie boy, the trust has kept this once proud club alive, it would have been wound up before now if not for the Trust. Why did the trust do this and so so much more to try and keep this club going, because the members of the trust love this club. So why have you, from the outset, seemed to have an agenda of alienating the trust?? Pray tell.

It was money raised by fans which paid the cup money fact.
