Toddy I have bowed out of this one because Programme collecting has never been a hobby of mine. I would hazard a quess about 2 bob. That is not an answer to the question so I cannot be penalised for a wrong answer. B)

On 28-4 1947 VICS played a challenge game against F.C.ZEEBURGIA at the DRILL FIELD in front of 4700 spectators. The Dutch team came from AMSTERDAM and played in 1st DIVISION of the DUTCH LEAGUE VICS won 1-0 with a WOOTTON goal. The interesting stats from this game are ;The DUTCH side contained four players who had been in Concentration Camps and four players who had been in the dutch resistance during the 2rd World War.That season GEORGE DAVIES scored 59 Goals many of the fans of the day believed DAVIES was the best forward in none league.

My 1968 programme cost 3d I think: any before that would have been 2d.
Even when I went to University in 1966, a Liverpool programme only cost 4d( it was about 5 bob to stand on the Kop)
