I have to say Congratulations to the lads finishing with Silverware in their last game of the season, it was great to see, however Middlewich were a much better side than i could ever have thought! They played better football than some teams i have watched us play this year. Their No 10, 4 and 7 were very good and that team should be higher than where they are.

But we won :Scarf:
Craig Millington great lad and a very good player, the 3rd goal was brilliant, ran onto a pass and drew Ben before dinking a finish over him and in. Ben was the reason we won last night at least 3 saves out of the top drawer, the pitch was a leveller and MT were unlucky not to take it to a penalty shoot-out after e/t.
Awards - Best away goal - Tom Field at Rushall.
Best Home goal - Ryan Wade - Newport.
Player of the season - Captain Kearney
All the squad winners though :Scarf:
Some nice touches shown by the players to the fans after the game as well :Scarf:

while at the game last night, did anyone else get the feeling that
middlewich or lostock, could be your local derby next year?.
it might not be a bad idea to learn how to walk, before you run, with a
trust run club.

I agree Tony however the NWCFL Div 1 is probably not as strong as the top sides in the Cheshire Prem.

I think we should aim for the NWCFL Prem. Middlewich are only where they are as they don't have flood lights they are more than capable of competing a lot higher.

Maybe we could attract a few of their players??

It will be interesting to see what comes out of the meeting

First off, let's see what the decision is from the ST bit of the meeting tomorrow. If it's given the thumbs up,then judge where we are once some of the discussions the Trust Board have had with various organisations have perhaps been expanded upon. And most importantly, what the consensus of feeling is amongst the fans who attend the open aspect of the meeting later, as to how we go forward. It is and will be a DEMOCRATIC progress and whatever direction we take will be the one taken by the supporters who attend the discussions, voice their opinion and/or cast their respective votes.

I agree with the sentiments of your post, however I think if/when we get this thing rolling, we'll have our feet firmly on the ground and there will be no danger of over stretching ourselves, logistically or more importantly, financially. ;)
