TOPIC: Predictions for next few weeks/months

Re: Predictions for next few weeks/months 1 year 2 weeks ago #97087

TR - if there is some way of doing it so we dont have to buy a new strip for each game - its a great idea as a mark of appreciation to such businesses to have them as 'shirt sponsor' for a game.

Instead of no shirt sponsor for 2 + seasons we could have 20+ in the first and buy loads of good will with local businesses - make loads of good publicity and get 20 + businesses back interested in Green football in Trickyland.

Eh Mr rushe and your miriad of commercial managers - are you listening - and this is just two blokes talking!!!

Just imagine what our united fan base could come up with.

Phoenix rising from the ashes - it just takes patience and determination.

Easy enough to organise at least 7 - home shirt front and back (confuse a few people if all players called Roberts or Harveys ;) ), away shirt ditto, home shorts, away shorts, track suits ...

My understanding is that any new club can't have a name too similar to an existing club. If JR is still running NVFC and the trust make a new club, then FC Northwich Victoria wouldn't be allowed. Neither would Northwich Victoria AFC. There are other close options that could possibly be allowed, but that's down to the FA whether they feel that the two clubs names are similar enough to cause confusion. If the JR incarnation of NVFC goes bust then all those restrictions go away. It will then be up to the trust to convince the FA that they have a right to whatever name they choose rather than any other new clubs.
Changing a clubs name after it is formed is quite simple too. I'm pretty sure it was one form and a tenner fee from what I read.

Absolutely spot on Mark. Cheshire FA charge a fee of £10 to change the club name after the affiliation process. This is a standard fee that is used nationwide amongst other County FAs and is predominantly to cover the admin costs.

With regards to any other football governance or discipline questions anyone on here may have, I'll do my best to answer any or to point you in the right direction as to where you can get more info on a particular matter. (I previously worked at the Cheshire County Football Association and subsequently have a strong understanding of the affiliation/disciplinary procedures etc. that the phoenix club will have to go through).
Long live 1874 Northwich. We are the future!
