Long may she reign and all that, but our dear old Queen is a very old lady.

Should anything happen to her any time soon, I can't see our new club being too keen to call itself 'Northwich Charles FC' :blink:

The Elizabeth idea came about I believe, as we were originally founded in Queen Victoria's diamond Jubilee year and it just so happens that this year is dear old Liz's diamond jubilee year too - just think, we could take to the field on our first game to the sounds of "The boys are back in town!" by Thin LIZZY!

It may not sound great at first but I bet other teams raised their eyebrows at the name Victoria back in the day! And it can be changed as and when.

I like Northwich Elizabeth.
It would give us lots of publicity and distance ourselves from the death knells of the 2004/2007 companies.
Obviously our nickname would still be the Vics, and we'd still play in green and white, so there would no need for anyone to leave the room.
