TOPIC: Supporters Trust / Open Meeting - Thursday 3 May

Re: Supporters Trust / Open Meeting - Thursday 3 May 1 year 2 weeks ago #97192

Realise it will be a very busy night for all concerned with a lot of business to get through and decisions to make, but is there any possibility of updates for those who can't attend, similar to the ones at the last meeting?

I think it is fair to say we would all like to know what Mr Rushe's plans are. It is a matter of public record that the Trust has offered to support a credible plan put forward by the Club, which will ultimately secure the future of Vics and bring the club back to Northwich.

We have not invited Mr Rushe to the second part of tonight's meeting. With due respect surely the responsibility for communicating the Club's plans lies with the Club and shouldn't be reliant on an invitation to a fans meeting. Tonight is about fans and looking at ALL the options for the future and getting a consensus as to how to move forward, whatever direction that is.

We have been in discussion with representatives of other fans groups and everyone is welcome. The open meeting tonight is for all Vics fans.

The problem with Lostock Club is that there isn't good phone coverage in the Hall and so to send updates I need to keep nipping in and out of the building.

I can send an update following the Trust members meeting, but will struggle to give updates during the open meeting. I can give a summary at the end of the meeting and will send out notes to Trust members after the event, like I did last time. If there is anyone else who could nip in and out to give updates, then if they want to contact me, I will see what we can set up.

Any chance that the meetings could just be recorded then uploaded to e.g., Dropbox for people to download and listen to later?

I think we all appreciate the notes that Maggie takes the time to write, and snippets that we get back from posters on here, however, sometimes there are slightly different interpretations of what was said and context can be lost.

Got to be easier than somebody nipping in and out to update on a 'phone?

If nobody has a digital recorder, I'm pretty sure most laptops these days come with ready-installed software for audio recording. Might just need a decent mic.

That's a great idea Nicki, strange that it hasn't been tried before.
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down
