TOPIC: Supporters Trust / Open Meeting - Thursday 3 May

Re: Supporters Trust / Open Meeting - Thursday 3 May 1 year 2 weeks ago #97204

We now need to sieze the iniative and plan for a future without Rushe. It is clear that the existing club has no long term future. It may not even have a short term future, the way its going. Jim Rushe has only got himself to blame, nobody else. We shouldn't worry too much about what others might think.

Whatever the thinking behind the sudden appearance and inexplicable approach of McNally (we may never know for sure) does the fact that there is now total silence, particularly from McNally, suggest that that cunning plan is now obsolete? Could Basil have walked away already?

I take it that means you missed me then. I haven't gone anywhere and I am still getting the plans under way that I outlined at the meeting recently with supporters of Northwich Victoria FC.

Northwich Victoria Supporters Club is still looking to go forward with the plans and as far as I know the Club is still going strong under the ownership of Jim Rushe.

The only difference between myself, Northwich Victoria Supporters Club, Jim Rushe and this forum is we will only indicate something when we feel it is time to do so. Unlike this Forum.

I have watched everyone get over excited about the demise of the club, which hasen't actually happened, and the idea of setting your own Club up with The Trust.

So I will look forward with interest to your vote tonight and whatever else comes out from your private meeting prior to the open forum.

The reason I say this is you appear to have a meeting to vote and discuss the issues then have another meeting to get the backing of other people not allowed into the first meeting. So I will await the result but it won't change the direction of the plans we have put in place and continue to work on.

I indicate this just to reassure you and the others who constantly slag off the ideas we have and who have also come up with the stupid video's that have gone on this and our forums that nothing has changed and we will press forward with our plans for the future of Northwich Victoria FC.

Not a new Club as many on this forum appear to want.

There is a world of difference between 'slagging off' and laughing at something ludicrous.

John
It is a matter of public record that the Trust has offered to support a credible plan put forward by the Club, which will ultimately secure the future of Vics and bring the club back to Northwich.

The agenda for tonight's meeting doesn't include a vote on starting a new club as far as I know. What it might do is change the rules of the Trust to make it easier should that be necessary but remember that might not happen - it's up to members to decide not the board.

John, the Trust will not announce it is starting a new club, it would only do so upon the instruction of its members. If the Trust members tell it to, then that is the action taken.

if the members voted in favour of a new club what could the timetable be and would it have time to start a new club for next season or would it have to wait for the season after next
