Re: OsC meeting 1 year 1 month ago #95509

After listening to Steve McNally tonight, I really wish it could happen but I still believe we need to buy a lottery ticket.

He certainly put his point accross and I do believe Thor has shown no real feelings for the Club/Fans but they did make a legitimate purchase and we have to accept that.

If he can find enough pledges for the £4m I will certainly pat him on the back but I can't see it. Also It's amazing that "someone" has gifted the land at the Lostock triangle for the building of a stadium. Be an interesting Land Registry search to see who owns it, £4 if anyone wants to do it.

Mr Hewitt fairly bought a piece of land that was up for sale VERY cheaply after the real "conman" failed to buy it.

Every time you say that, you should also add the words "and we the fans also did nothing to buy the stadium"
If you knew anything about land prices, you would realise that the Land was not particularly cheap - as a football ground it was a bargain.
Yes Thor had access to the money and bought it legitimately, but Mcnally is right, they are not friends of football, every press release has been very carefully worded - we should be angry with Hewitt.

Why would the fans need to buy it? The chairman was 95% complete on the deal for it. If the fans went out to buy it they would have been condemned for going against the chairman.

If he had just come out and said he couldn't afford it then you may have a point.

Arrived sceptical this evening, left in a daze and with an open mind. If anything Steve McNally could sell pork pies to Muslims.

I stated recently that his main aim should have been the fans on this forum, convince these fans and he'd not just win the battle but the war, well in my opinion tonight, he won a battle.

My only concern is that he didn't approach the Trust first but set up the OSC because he thought the Trust agenda was to start a new club. This was corrected by a few fans who said the Trust were planning on a new club but only if the old one folded.

I'm sure others will post more detailed updates but for now I disengage in posting inflammatory remarks towards Steve McNally and I'm going to bed
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down

I went….....Steve McNally may or may not have some good ‘ideas’…..but he absolutely hasn’t got a clue (nor wants to listen) about how ‘the fans’ feel….he’s just got ‘his’ ideas (for whatever reason), and doesn’t want to listen to the ‘real’ issues and concerns that the fans have….and/or have had…..totally disrespectful (not just to me) to the ‘whole’ fan base, by alluding to the fact that “we (the fans) have never done anything about it before”….and “haven’t got the money”….or the “knowhow”, to do it!.....so everyone needs to forget about what has happened before and believe in Steve McNally???.....still no say in the Club or any decisions (same old same old) going forward, by the way…..just ‘head down’ and ‘back’ Steve’s vision???.....no awkward questions, mind, or different opinions!......

‘And we all lived happily ever after!!’…….

……unless of course that this situation happened AGAIN (if we get an ‘again’) - next month/next year/in two year’s time etc – because ‘WE’ still wouldn’t have a clue as to what was going on behind the scenes, with ‘OUR’ Club…..regardless, AGAIN of how well we were doing on the pitch, and/or if we had a fantastic 7,000 all seater stadium.

He (S Mc) also felt that by ‘slagging off’ the Trust and blaming Thor, whilst playing on ‘fans’ emotions/loyalties, he would win everyone over???.....

I am confused.

Jim told me last night that Steve has nothing to do with this football club and that he believes his plans to be the 'over the top'.Yet I've been informed that Steve's role would be to work on a new stadium with the CURRENT club, while whoever else (Jim I presume) gets on with the running of the club.

So if Jim thought Steve's plans were 'over the top', then why would Steve have any role to play in the current club? Jim also told me that he was planning on building a ground at Moss Farm. It makes me wonder whether these plans are connected with the Northwich Vision idea of building a new lifestlye centre to replace Moss Farm.

I don't get why Steve would be in a Northwich Guardian photo with Jim either. None of it makes any sense and these grand plans will not materialise. We are into much of a mess for it too happen. The Trust's plans can and will happen as far as I'm concerned.

Sadly I this will mean the club continues to slowly die and that the Trust's plans will have to wait another season. Steve will just have to find out that this is not going to happen and will end in tears.
