To an outsider, with no connection to the club, that is what we appear, Colin.
And that is the context in which the expression was used. I am proud to have supported this club for 46 years, and it doesn't "hurt" me to use it in that context.

Big John, feel free to give your money but you'll never see it again.

You're right, if we start again we still need to build a ground. But not £4 million, what planet is he living on thinking we'd need a 7000 capacity? If we start again and build a stadium, it only needs to be very basic but have the capability to be expanded to fit the leagues requirements - Runcorn Linnets is a prime example.
Yeah, exactly. This is what I mean by the Trust being more realistic with their plans for the future.

Tin pot little evo club thats pretty disgusting calling us that. Fingers crossed we will be a tin pot conference north club then. Totally had enough of this forum now.

JESUS CHRIST! Colin, your interpretation of Alans post could not be further from the truth. Alan is not calling the club tin pot, its the outside businesses that would look upon us as tin pot. Ask yourself WHY on earth would any legitimate business want to invest huge amounts of money into a club that has such a very bad financial record and a very poor reputation. THEY WOULDN'T, for god sake Colin the mainstream banks won't even touch Vics with a barge pole.

You above all fans should be taking stock of these comments and analysing all the information but once again you are jumping in head first and backing this fantasy project by a complete stranger without question..... I'm shaking my head in disbelief.
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down

NVFC and the Northwich Victoria Supporters Club Partnership

Over recent weeks since my introduction, via the eviction, to Northwich Victoria Football Club I have discussed with the owner areas that could be introduced for the long term future of the club and offered ideas on the stadium issue.

I have discussed with Thor both Locally and at their HQ the situation over the stadium and even asked to take on the lease myself to get the club back home but told no as the owner before me was. The CWC, Town Council, the FA and the League have all asked why the club can not play there. That is why I can talk in detail about Thor's attitude towards the club and it's future.

I have watched as the Trust has continued to discuss the stadium with Thor even after being informed by myself on this forun that Thor stopped the supporters watching the club at home in the FA Trophy game. A game watched at Maccelsfield by 600 fans when at home it could have been many more and I believe you would have won.

I have discussed on this forum issues related to the club and watched people go on about the financial issues how bad Jim Rushe is as a businessman and the problems certain people have with him.

This has nothing to do with saving a club that everyone says they support. In recent weeks I have found out that there is another source of Supporter interaction for me to speak to and discuss the possible future of the club based on ideas already accepted as sound by the owner.

Although I do know the Trust sponsored the junior shirts for the last 3 years I found the following applied.

The Northwich Victoria Supporters Club has links with all of the junior clubs boys and girls, the womens team and is involved in the future plans now the Juniors have achieved FA community status.

Additionally the owner has the full support of all those teams mentioned and the Suopporters Club.

For that reason I felt the future of the Club would be better served working with this group rather than the Trust board due to certain initiatives the Trust feels need to be done.

I have put here the future plans for the new partnership, as I said yesterday, and today all aspects were finalised with the children, parents, coaches and management of the junior clubs alongside the supporters club management and the owner of the club meeting to show everyone Northwich Victoria is here to stay but also to start helping the club.

Although the Supporters Club have full confidence in the owner should there be any eventualities that may threaten the future of the club the Supporters Club will be there to deal with them as they will be in constant dialogue with the owner but may not always share the information due to confidentiality reasons.

The club will continue for a long time to come. This should elieviate any worries some people on this forum have regarding the future.

So I hope the open minded people on this forum will see this is the best option for supporting the club.

NVFC and the Northwich Supporters Club Partnership

The partnership is based on mutual respect and a belief that the club will become totaly intergrated with the junior set up now and at the new stadium leading to players in the youngest team eventually going through the ranks to play for all teams through to the under 18's then on to the seniors at Northwich Victoria.

The womens teams will also interact with the junior girls teams and the womens team will be involved more with the senior club when the new stadium is built.

The beggining of the process is the safeguarding of the club financially and setting up the new stadium fund.

There will be 2 new funds run by the secretary of the Supporters Club. This will allow for transparency and so as to elieviate any more workload for the club.

Fund 1

Assistance fund.

This fund has been set up and will be to assist the club in paying weekly costs over the present income due to the loss of the stadium. The supporters Club secretary will co-ordinate the income to this fund and distribute it to the club through the constant passage of information between him and the owner of the club.

If the assistant fund can not fulfill the shortfall at any time the owner will continue to fund that as he does now. Every attempt will be made to bring in the neccessary funds to help the club until the new stadium is built. When the new stadium is built this fund will end.

A bank account has now been set up by the Supporters Club and more information will be distributed for donations to be sent in and how. The supporters will help the owner to keep the club financially secure until the supporters get the stadium built. That is what the partnership is for.

Fund 2

Building Fund

This fund will be to build the new stadium. Details of which are following further on in this thread.

The Fund is set a target of £4 million. At present we would ask supporters to pay any donations into the assistant fund as the building fund will initially be targeted at large organisations and companies to get the highest income possible at the quickest rate.

A bank account is being set up and information will follow should you wish to donate to this fund, rather than the assistance one, once this has been done.

This fund will also be set up as a charitable Trust, yet to be set up, to gain full use of the tax system allowing the target to be met quickly and to hold the stadium in Trust once built.

The target of £4 million is set after discusions with the land and building parters of the new stadium.

The Stadium

Over the last 2 months several sites have been visited by the club owner, club president and myself. After discusion with the developer one site has come to the front although others are still being discussed.

This was done prior to my introduction to the Supporters Club so that I could offer a future plan not simply words.

The site will be indicated when a viable one has been chosen and you will be informed on here, the club web site and the new NVSC web site.

We expect the stadium to be built in time for the 2013-14 season or half way through that season at the latest. Either way the plan is to have a stadium built for the 140 year celebrations.

The stadium will consist of the following;

7000 capacity

4 sided

2000 seated, 1000 standing either end and the non seated stand will hold 3000. Accomodation has been allocated for disabled supporters

It will be supplied with solar panels, rainwater harvesting and potentially other cost saving initiatives.

There will also be the same services as the old stadium covering executive boxes hospitality and entertainment.

Presently the Developer is on board and a world known stadium building company is on board. Over the next few weeks other partners will be brought in to make this the most cost effective stadium possible.

Once built the stadium will stay in the ownership of a charitable Trust made up of the partners that built it, the Club, The supporters Club, local and county councils. They will act as Trustees only and will meet once a year to celebrate what they achieved with the club and the community.

The trust will act as key holders and the club will be given a 999 year repair and maintenance lease on a peppercorn rent of 1 red rose. This will allow the club to save many thousands in costs associated to rent.

It will also save the other organisations using the stadium as only nominal costs will be applied to using it.

The main idea of the stadium being held in Trust is that it will never be owned or sold by any individual therefore safeguarding the future of the club called Northwich Victoria Football Club.

Associated items

There will also be training facilities including a training pitch and for the Junior players there will be facilities set up for them in seperate buildings close to the stadium.

Community

The community aspect of this comes from the additional buildings to be built and attached to the external of the stadium. As well as the ability for the community to be involved with the facilities.

These buildins will house community projects;

One linked to the Armed forces, Emergency services, adults and Children who are or have been suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)

Another one will look into the recent issue relating to heart conditions in sportsmen and others.

Other initiatives will be concidered but the concept is to put the club at the heart of the community which is the feeling of Northwich Victoria Supporters Club, the Club and myself.

Once the web site is up and running anyone can put ideas forward and they will be looked at for the new stadium.

It is hoped everyone supporters and onlookers will get involved with the assistance fund as it will elieviate the ongoing costs for the club that have come from the loss of the stadium.

It would be hoped that the situation the Trust finds itself in due to recent initiatives will not stop them assisting the Supporters Club by fund raising and contributing to the assistance fund.

The initiative for the funds and the new stadium will be run by the partnership between the Club and the Supporters Club for the benefit of all supporters and the local community.

The above is as much information as will be posted at the moment. More information will follow.

As this is the Trust site I hope only constructive comments will be posted out of respect for the people who put the ideas together for the future of this massive club. Thank you.

Re: NVFC and the Northwich Victoria Supporters Club 1 year 1 month ago #93862

I have just made an appointment to have my ears cleaned out, having THOUGHT that I had heard JR tell me and all other in attendance at a meeting that he did not have the money to finance the club after the end of the current season, he tells the reporter in this weeks Guardian that he did NOT say that !!.

Clearly all others in attendance should also make an appointment for a massive wax removal!!.
